The 10 Railroad Legend
Nestled in the heart of Morrisville, Vermont, 10 Railroad Street is more than just a restaurant—it’s a piece of history. Housed in the town’s original train depot, built in 1872 by the St. Johnsbury & Lamoille County Railroad, the building once served as a vital hub for passengers and freight traveling through northern Vermont. For decades, the station played a key role in the region’s growth, connecting local industries and communities to the wider world.
Although passenger service ended in 1956, the depot remained a symbol of Morrisville’s rich railroad heritage. The preserved landmark today includes a rail trail behind the restaurant which is popular with locals and visitors alike.
